Black Tech
It’s black and stays black. KMC BlackTech isn’t a simple coating, but a surface treatment where the color becomes an integral part of the material. The process is two-stage: first, each individual chain component is treated, and then the process is repeated with the assembled components. This ensures the chain retains its rich black color permanently and is also highly rust-resistant.

Nickel Plated
Nickel is an alloying metal primarily used for steel refining. It makes steel corrosion-resistant, increases its hardness and toughness, and is very effective as a rust inhibitor.

Ti-N
Titanium nitride is a chemical compound of the elements titanium and nitrogen. This ceramic material, typically golden yellow in color, is characterized by its very high hardness and corrosion resistance. KMC’s special titanium nitride coating not only looks fantastic, but also has an ultra-smooth surface and is extremely durable.
