Specialized Recon 2.0 shoes

A robust, efficient yet comfortable all-round package

Designed for adventurous gravel roads and muddy trails, the Recon 2.0 gravel and MTB shoe offers riders a robust, efficient, yet comfortable all-around package for long days with the crew and quick stops at the edge of the woods. It clips perfectly onto the Diverge, Creo, or Epic pedals – and won’t let go until the riders themselves are exhausted after a long day on the trails.

BODY GEOMETRY: Like all our shoes, the Recon 2.0 is ergonomically designed and scientifically validated. This enhances comfort and performance for every rider and reduces the risk of injury with patented technology. All of this demonstrably increases power output by an average of 7 watts.

STRIDE TECHNOLOGY: The secrets of Stride Technology lie in a flexible outsole and a flexible upper around the toe box, combined with a rigid cleat mount. This combination allows the shoe to flex slightly when walking, while remaining stiff and efficient when pedaling.

Efficiency: Thanks to its BOA® Li2 dial closure, the Recon 2.0 can be opened, adjusted, or locked in a matter of seconds. The BOA® Dyneema® cord, which eliminates the need for rigid guides, also contributes to easy on and off. Finally, the Velcro closure at the forefoot allows for a customized fit around the toes, providing predictable control on unfamiliar features or in loose and technical terrain.
